Upon reflection, two things will stick with me forever.

A single line, perfectly encapsulating the moment:

"What the cynics fail to understand is that the ground has shifted beneath them..."

Brilliant.

And a single image. It is the first photo of the new president at his desk, dwarfed by the enormity of the office and task that lay ahead of him.
