U.S. National Debt Clock is broken

Anyone who has lived in or visited New York City will recognize the massive "National Debt Clock" towering above the corner of 43rd and 6th. A constantly spinning reminder of our reckless spending and negative savings rate, the Clock was created in 1989 by New York real estate developer Seymour Durst to highlight America's debt burden.

Well, folks, the clock broke yesterday, having finally reached its limit of $10 trillion.

A temporary adjustment has been made that will allow the clock to keep counting. Lucky us...
